We have an exciting opportunity to join a growing airport fuel operating company based at Heathrow Airport. Our Client is a joint venture company owned by several large oil operators responsible for leasing, managing, maintaining and operating Heathrow Airport's two aviation fuel tank farms and three aviation fuel hydrant systems.
Our client has approximately 7,000 items of plant listed in its maintenance system (mostly rotating machinery, valves and pipework but also electrical items), each with designated maintenance frequencies (typically daily, weekly, monthly, six-monthly or annually). Maintenance planning and execution is further broken down into routine maintenance and major maintenance programmes that require engineering insight and competencies.
Major complex maintenance activities need to be planned, scheduled and action items followed up on so that the company does not fall behind in its preventative maintenance plan of critical equipment.
The role is hands on and ideally requires good practical understanding of tank farms, valves, rotating machinery and associated pipework. It involves working in a team of seven (promised of electrical & mechanical engineers and a Permit to work engineer). Working in a small team and must have an aptitude for dealing with electrical works, breakdowns, repairs and fault diagnosis. Experience within a industrial process operation & construction, pipeline construction & operation or pumping of fluids through complex pipework. Lead electrical repairs and inspections to the plant and the installation of new equipment. Support the maintenance team with technical guidance to effectively to deliver the maintenance tasks of the company.
Requirements for the role:
* CompEx trained and certified.
* ATEX certified to BS7671 16th & 17th edition electrical standard.
* Experience in switch gear, instrumentation and valve actuators.
* Excellent in fault diagnostics, breakdowns and electrical repairs.
* Ability to read electrical wiring and instrumentation diagrams.
* Be able to lead and assist the maintenance and engineering team on site for small construction projects and major maintenance activities.
* Minimum of 4+ years' relevant engineering/maintenance experience.
Experience in working with pressures and volumes in a Hydrant system
Process safety applied to fuel storage systems and tank farm operations.
Control of work and permit to work experience.
Hold a HGV Licence
Have experience or be trained in confined space entry.
Experience in working with pressures and volumes in a fuel Hydrant, pipeline or pipework system
Relevant technical qualification. Preferred NVQ level 4 or 5.
Ability to read Piping and Instrumentation diagram (P&ID).
Have experience in mechanical maintenance or systems.
Hold a full driving licence.
