A construction tech start-up, looking at developing a world first in pushing AR into the space, is looking at bringing in a UX/UI Designer to play a pivotal part in shaping the digital product design.
This is a start-up. The culture is around making things happen, being enthused by solving a hardware issue in the early hours, influencing and taking complete responsibility on projects, even wanting to put the product in the boxes.
You will take the lead, collaborating with the extremely talented Design Director and Software Engineers. They need someone who can help chief the interaction design and prototyping for their AR UI design as well as developing a consistent digital identity that will be rolled out across the business from the AR display through to web, cloud and app.
The position is not only managing the user research studies, but also taking that insight into a tangible outcome. This is very much end-to-end digital product design (sketching, storyboards, wire framing, user testing, prototypes) so what is key is having that exposure to all those elements.
Proficiency with both 2D and 3D packages would be a huge bonus - think Unity, Sketch, Photoshop, Framer to 3DS Max, Unreal and Maya to name a few.
Ideally you will be at the 1-3 year experience mark. Some of the previous hires in the team have come from agency side but also big consumer giants.
This is a well-funded start-up, reaching its financial targets ahead of time. There is a huge buoyancy within the business to not only disrupt the space but build a best-in-class product team which will evolve with this very hire.
